  3. START WEEK TWO. To play the entire contest, register by 6 pm CT 11/05/07. The first (shortened) week will not count.
  4. Register after November 1, 2007 for only $19.99 per entry.
  5. NEW QUARTERLY PRIZES - Sports Buff Fantasy Basketball now has 4 quarters. To give everyone a chance to be a finalist, the winner of each quarter goes to the post-season along with the Top 4 overall from the entire season. Now you can jump start your season if you have a bad start, win the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th quarter, and still qualify for the post-season draft. Quarterly winners also win an additional $250. See details in the complete official rules. Once a team wins a quarter, that team is not eligible to win another quarter.
  6. "Salary Cap Style" - you manage your team just like a big league GM on a level playing field. We all play by the same rules. Select your team using a salary cap of $450 for a 12 player/team roster (4 Guards, 4 Forwards, 2 Centers, and 2 Teams) plus a LUCKY 13th player each week.
  7. UPDATED RULE. A LUCKY 13th flex roster spot will be filled each week by any player you would like to use. Your LUCKY 13th flex player will receive SINGLE points for the week. The player will not count against your salary cap and you will not be charged for a trade to fill the 13th spot on your roster. A player may fill your LUCKY 13th roster spot only once during the season (once you use a player, they are no longer eligible to earn points in the LUCKY 13th spot on your roster). If you do not drop and add a new LUCKY 13th player each week, that roster spot will receive zero points for the week.

  9. Win - Win - Win. We continue to give you more ways to win! Weekly prizes, league prizes, and end-of-season prizes.
  10. 8 Finalists Advance to Playoffs. The winner of each Quarter and the Top 4 season-to-date scores for the entire season advance to our unique Post-Season draft.
  11. For the All Star Week, we will multiply your score times 2 so that it will be a valid week with the potential to score as many points as a typical week of the season.
  12. Only two teams per person may advance to the Top 8. This rule gives everyone a chance to win.
  13. League Champions. Entries are placed in leagues of 40. A maximum of 3 teams per person and 10 teams per family may be entered into the same league. A maximum of 10 teams per unique promo code (if applicable) are allowed in the same league. Sports Buff reserves the right to modify league formation or disqualify teams, if these rules are not followed.
  14. Great League and Weekly Prizes! Three weekly prizes and two league prizes.
  15. You can select from any player or team listed on the site. To add an eligible offensive player, just email coachb@sportsbuff.com.
  16. Online transactions are $2 each for the first 5 transactions per week. Make 6 to 12 transactions per week for a maximum fee of only $12. Save big!
  17. You must be 18 years old or older to participate.
  18. UPDATED RULE. Dropped Weeks. One single lowest weekly score will be dropped. Season-to-date scores will be computed by adding all weekly scores together and subtracting your single lowest weekly score. No weeks are dropped for quarterly scores and ranks.
  19. Player Upgrades - Three (3) players and one (1) team are upgraded $3 in salary value every 3 weeks, starting week 3 of the contest.
  20. All contestants play via the Internet.
  21. Live Scoring. Contestants may purchase access to Live Scoring for only $19.99 for the entire season.
  22. Live Leader Boards. Move up and down the leader board throughout game-days.
  23. UPDATED RULE. The entry deadline for the first week of competition is 6 PM CT Monday, November 5th. The first, shortened week, will not count. The weekly trading deadline for all weeks of the season is 6 PM CT every Monday.
