FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I have to play all season long to win?
A. No, this year we have four Quarters and the winner of each Quarter qualifies for the post-season draft and a chance at the Grand Prize. BUT, if you play all season long, you have a chance to win a lot more prizes, including one of three prizes awarded EVERY week.

Q. Do I HAVE to select 10 players and 2 teams and a Lucky 13th player?
A. Yes, you must select 10 players and 2 teams to have a valid roster. If you do not select a Lucky 13th player, you will receive no points for that roster spot, but your roster will be valid. If your roster consists of less than a valid roster (10 players and 2 teams), you will not receive credit for any points earned by your players in that Contest Week.

Q. Are the players listed online the only players I can select for my team?
A. No. If an eligible player is not listed, any contestant may request a player not listed online and the player(s) will be added to the available list of players within 2 business days of the request. The new player's position will be determined by the Sports Buff staff and all decisions are final. New players are available to all teams for that week/weekend's games as soon as they are listed on the site.

Q. How do I add or change my credit card.?
A. Just click on "My Account" in the menu to modify your credit card number or any other personal information.

Q. What is a Contest Week?
A. Each contest week starts with the first game on Monday and ends with the last game on Sunday.

Q. What is the trading deadline?
A. The trading deadline is always 6:00 PM CT on Monday.

Q. Do I get credit for all 13 of my players/teams on my roster?
A. Yes, all 13 roster spots score points, although the Lucky 13th spot must be replaced each week to receive points.

Q. Can I trade for a player more than once in a season?
A. Yes, the number of times you drop and add a player is unlimited.

Q. When can I start trading players?
A. Trading is available as soon as you register.

Q. If I drop a player and then switch back to the player I had, will I be charged?
A. No, trading charges are calculated at the end of each week. If you had D Wade last week, drop him and add any other player... then you decide to go back to D Wade, you will not be charged a transaction fee.
